THE RETURN MATTERS 🌟

In Reformer Pilates, the movement doesn’t end when you push the carriage away. The return is just as important.

As the springs bring the carriage back, controlling that movement requires you to stay engaged rather than simply letting the machine do the work. The goal isn’t just to move through the exercise, but to maintain control from beginning to end.

It’s a small detail that can change the way an exercise feels and a reminder that in Pilates, how you move matters just as much as how far you move. 🫶🏻

One of the things that makes TRX training so versa

One of the things that makes TRX training so versatile is how much a small change in your body position can affect an exercise. By leaning further forward or shifting your feet, you can increase or decrease the resistance, making the same movement feel completely different.

This allows you to adapt each exercise to your current level while gradually challenging yourself as you progress. Rather than relying only on heavier weights or more repetitions, you learn to work with your own body weight, using angles and positioning to adjust the intensity.

Sometimes, the difference between an exercise that feels manageable and one that really challenges you comes down to a simple change in perspective. 🌱

SAME EXERCISE. DIFFERENT NEEDS. 🌟

The same Reformer exercise can feel completely different from one person to another. Your experience, mobility, strength, body proportions, and the way you move all influence how an exercise feels and how it should be performed.

That’s why the right setup matters. Adjusting the resistance, range of motion, or position can change the challenge and make the exercise more appropriate for your body. The goal isn’t to make everyone move the same, it’s to find what works for you. 💫

Pilates is built around details - the way you position your body, control a movement, create stability, and use your range of motion. Understanding these details can change the way you approach each exercise.

TARGETED TRAINING 🎯

Functional Training isn’t only about how you move, it’s also about understanding what your body needs. Targeting a specific muscle can be an effective way to build strength, improve its ability to handle resistance, and give extra attention to an area you want to develop.

By focusing the movement on one muscle, you can work it more directly and progressively increase the challenge over time. Sometimes, training with purpose means knowing exactly where to focus.

YOU’LL MOVE DIFFERENTLY WITH TIME ✨

When you first learn a new movement, your brain has to process a lot at once - the position of your body, the sequence of the movement, your balance, and the instructor’s cues. With practice, these skills become more familiar, allowing you to perform the same movement with greater efficiency and less conscious effort.

This is part of motor learning: repetition and quality practice help the body refine how a movement is performed. Over time, you may notice that you don’t just do the exercise better - you understand it differently, too.

And with our instructors there to guide, observe, and refine your movement along the way, every class becomes another step in that process. 🤍

YOUR BODY NEEDS VARIETY 🌟

Your body doesn’t need to do the same workout every time. Different forms of training create different demands and combining them can help you build a more well-rounded approach to movement.

At Manta Ray, Reformer and Mat Pilates can develop control and body awareness, while Functional Training adds strength, endurance, and more dynamic movement. Stretching supports mobility and gives the body time to release tension and recover.

You don’t have to choose just one. Combining different practices can keep your training varied, challenge your body in new ways, and help you build a routine that works for you. 🌱

YOUR WAY TO MOVE 🤍

There’s more than one way to practise Pilates and what works for someone else may not be what works best for you.

Some people enjoy the simplicity and freedom of a Mat session, while others prefer the added support, resistance, and variety of equipment. Your starting point can change as your body, goals, and experience change too.

The important part is finding a practice that challenges you, keeps you engaged, and makes you want to come back. 🫶🏻

A heavier weight doesn’t always mean a harder exercise. The same dumbbells can feel completely different depending on the movement. What feels manageable in one exercise can become surprisingly demanding in another.

Good training isn’t simply about lifting more. It’s about knowing how to use the weight you have, keeping the movement controlled, maintaining good form, and understanding when to push and when to adjust.

The goal isn’t to lift the heaviest weight - it’s to make every weight count. 🤍

Training asks a lot from the body. Stretching gives it time to work differently - focusing on range of motion, releasing areas that feel tight, and giving the body a chance to recover between more demanding sessions.

Whether you train regularly or simply spend long hours at a desk, making time for stretching can become an important part of how you take care of your body.

Join us every Tuesday at 12:00 and make a little time for yourself. 🌱

WHEN SUPPORT BECOMES A CHALLENGE ✨

The Reformer is designed to support the body, but that support can also become part of the challenge. The carriage and springs constantly respond to your movement, asking you to find stability while you work through each exercise.

With our instructors there to adapt each session to you, the Reformer becomes a way to explore movement, understand your body, and gradually work beyond what feels familiar. 🫶🏻

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY 🌟

In Pilates, repeating an exercise isn’t about simply getting through the reps. The way you perform each one matters - where you place your weight, how you move through the range, and whether you can maintain the position as the movement becomes more challenging.

Slowing down gives you the chance to notice the small details, make adjustments, and gradually make the movement more precise.
